DESCRIPTION:  \nCandace & Tim are set to share their enriching GLP experience on behalf of the Rotary Club of Rice Lake. The couple journeyed to Guatemala for the Global Literacy Project\, representing the club this past February. Among the 157 International Rotary clubs\, the Rotary Club of Rice Lake has demonstrated the highest generosity to the GLP project. The trip proved to be a deeply rewarding\, humbling\, and eye-opening experience for both of them. It was truly special to witness the impact of grant funds in action across the many schools in the highlands of Guatemala\, especially among the Indigenous Mayan children. During the visit\, they interacted\, played\, read\, and observed effective teacher training\, textbooks\, and operational computer labs.
